Medicine Hat is known as the "oasis in the prairies" because of the beauty
and abundance of parks and trails. Winding along side of the Saskatchewan
River is over 50 Kilometers of scenic trails and pathways for all to enjoy.
Medicine Hat is located in southeastern Alberta, approximately 300 kilometers
southeast of Calgary, and 160 kilometers north of the United States border.
The Trans-Canada Highway #1 and Highway #3, run directly through Medicine
Hat.
Medicine Hat is surrounded by, and is rich in natural resources, both
in agriculture, and the oil and gas industry.
Medicine Hat is located on Canada's east-west connection, the Trans-Canada
Highway. Most ground transportation heading across this country passes
right through Medicine Hat!
Today, Medicine Hat has a population of over 51,000 residents and it's
land mass covers about 112 square kilometers.
